Eating a healthy, balanced diet. While it’s not all about the prep, it does have a lot to do with it. Having a well-stocked kitchen makes preparing and eating healthy meals a super easy and fun task, rather then a daunting and time-consuming full-time job. And while it may seem expensive or a drag to start up, I can tell you it is well worth it in the long run. Once you’re stocked up with the goods, you’ll feel at ease in your kitchen - inspiration peaks, creativity runs wild and you’ll be meal prepping like a pro in no time.Read More
So, it's been a while since my last post. A long while. This post was actually drafted on April 19th, and I was still saying it was a long time since I've last posted. Now I'm sitting here on June 02.
For various reasons ... one being because I moved back across the globe from australia to canada again, and another being I just haven't felt in the groove yet or settled enough to be able to do the process of recipe creating (although there's been lots of that)Read More
If you saw my recent post on grain-free granola, then you'll understand this post.
I needed something delicious to pour over my bowl of granola, and I needed it quick. I wanted it to be creamy, chocolate-y and package-free.
But I didn't want nut milk. Why? I've been reading articles lately on the environmental impact of almond farming - it uses huge amounts of water, and can be harmful to the bee populations due to forced pollination with different bee families. Plus, nuts are expensive! The packages you can buy at the supermarket usually have about 2-5% of nuts in them, and a bunch of filtered water and usually some additives, and it costs you between $3-6. WHY waste your dollars on that (plus all that single use packaging!)Read More

They just taste good right now, and they fill you up. And there's nothing wrong with that.Read More

what to have for breakfast ... it's one of those controversial topics that I never really want to get into when people ask for advice. But one thing I'll continue to say, is eat what makes you feel good. If for you, that's some rolled oat porridge, then do that. If it's a smoothie, or eggs and greens, then that's great too. With so much information around us, it can be so difficult to actually zone in and listen to YOUR body.Read More
